נווה פריצקי The Kerem Tunnel is the first bike tunnel in Israel and was inaugurated as a part of the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycle path that runs around Jerusalem, the capital city.

The tunnel connects Nahal Refaim and Emek Motza. It has a southern entrance located in Refaim Park. Ein Laban is the nearest. Nahal Ein Kerem is the northern entrance.

The 2.1-kilometer-long tunnel was officially inaugurated by Jerusalem's Heritage Minister ZeevElkin. It was also attended by Mayor Moshelion Avi Balehnikov, Gihon Water Company chairman, and thousands of cyclists.

Elkin's Ministry Elkin's Ministry Tourism Ministry, Jerusalem Municipality and the Gihon Corporation all contributed to the project. The Jerusalem Development Authority completed the work.

Elkin declared that the Kerem Tunnel project was a key tool in realizing the vision of changing the concept for transportation in Jerusalem. "The new tunnel, which will connect with the Jerusalem Ring Path, will connect the existing cycle routes within the city as well as the ones that will be paved within its various neighborhood. It's designed to encourage bicycle riding within the city's residents and promote an environmentally sustainable transportation system in Jerusalem."

The current works include road construction, installation blowers and sophisticated security systems to ensure the tunnel is secure for all to use during the entire year.
